Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service

This was held for numerous reasons including continuing our Community Fire Safety work within the Elmswell area, promoting Fire Safety in the home, and to make people aware of the work of the emergency services, as well as covering areas such as road traffic collision reduction. Last, but not least, to raise money for local charities and good causes.

Unfortunately, after a spell of hot weather, the day dawned windy and wet, and we prayed all the services involved would be available on the day and not be involved in emergency calls.

Thankfully 90% were able to turn up. These included Fire, Police, Paramedics, Fire Cadets from Suffolk & Norfolk. Sadly the Air Ambulance were unable to attend due to operational commitments.

Other attractions included the Victim Support Unit, Salvation Army Support Unit, various charity stalls, the AA, small fun fair, bouncy castle and food stralls.
