Fund Raising 2009

Each year the Elmswell Retained Fire Crew strive to raise money for local charities. During 2008, the crew raised a staggering £4044.87, which was divided up between 9 charites.

The annual presentation to the nominated charities took place on the 28th Feburary 2009.

The followng eight charities received £400 while the Special Care Baby Unit (chosen by Elmswell Co-op), received £500

  • 1st Elmswell Scouts
  • The Helping Hands Club
  • 1st Elmswell Rainbows
  • Elmswell Hand Bell Ringers
  • Manns Court
  • 1st Elmswell Rangers
  • Elmswell Toddlers
The cheques were presented on behalf of Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service by DO John Wilcox & Sub Officer Brian Hawes.

As usual the crew would like to thank the people of Elmswell who support the events by bringing their cars along to the car wash for example and donating on Christmas Eve during the traditional bag pack.

Well done to the Elmswell crew for all their hard work.
