43 year old Watch Officer Brian Hawes has been in the Fire Service for over 25 years. He lives in the village with his partner Julie and has two children, Lucy and Sean. What changes would you make to the village? Improve the layout of the village hall; for example the main entrance is hidden round the side, and it doesn't look very welcoming on the approach to it. Improve road safety. More things for children to do in the village.

What changes would you make to the Country? Improve local services and taxation.

Why did you join the Fire Service? It has always appealed. "I wanted to provide a service to the community."
